Weekly Documentary (incl. with paid admission) WEAPONS AT WAR: THE GRUNTS OF VIETNAM

This episode from the History Channel series pays tribute to the standard-issue American soldiers in Vietnam. Called "doughboys" and "dogfaces" in earlier wars, American G.I.s in Southeast Asia were nicknamed "grunts." The program takes a look at how fighting in an unpopular war affected the men on the front lines. Highlights include numerous interviews with veteran infantrymen and Marines, regarding their bitterness over being drafted, the brutality of the fight, poor morale, and the negative response many U.S. citizens had towards veterans returning home from Vietnam.
