DESCRIPTION:The Charlotte County Jazz Society presents The Per Danielsson Quartet featuring Suzy Park on January 13\, 2025\, at 7:00 at The Charlotte Performing Arts Center (CPAC)\, 701 Carmalita St.\, Punta Gorda. Jazz pianist\, composer\, arranger\, writer and educator\, Per Danielsson is a native of Stockholm\, Sweden. His love of jazz brought him across the ocean to attend North Texas State University. After completing his master's degree in jazz studies\, composition and arranging\, Per went on to become an active performer\, appearing often as a guest artist\, soloist\, clinician\, and sideman\, nationally and internationally. He holds the position of Associate Professor of Jazz Studies at the University of Central Florida. In addition\, Per is active in jazz education outreach. He has served on the Presidential advisory board of the Jazz Education Network and is currently Artistic Director of the American Jazz Pianist Competition. Suzy Park is a dynamic vocalist\, known for her powerful choruses\, and nimble scatting solos. Suzy has appeared at numerous jazz clubs and festivals throughout Florida\, as well as being a member of the famed Disney's Voices of Liberty\, The Girlfriends at the Hyatt Grand Cypress and the jazz vocal ensemble America Vybe at EPCOT. Charlotte County Jazz Society members are free\, non-members are $25\, payable at the door\, cash or check only. Students are free.
