DESCRIPTION:Charlotte County Jazz Society presents The Jeff Rupert Quartet on May 8 at 2:00 pm at The Gulf Theater at the Military Heritage Museum in Punta Gorda. Jeff Rupert is a tenor saxophonist blessed with a warm\, Stan Getz-like\, tone and a fertile sense of musical imagination. He directs the Jazz Studies program at the University of Central Florida in Orlando and leads its Flying Horse Big Band. He is also a busy composer\, producer\, and broadcaster. Joining him on stage will be Richard Drexler on piano\, Ben Kramer on bass\, and Marty Morell on drums. This is the last concert in the Charlotte County Jazz Society's 2022-2023 concert season. CCJS members are free and non-members are $25. Tickets can be purchased at the door.
