DESCRIPTION:The Charlotte County Jazz Society presents the Miami Jazz Consort on Monday\, March 11\, 2024\, at 7:00 at the Charlotte Performing Arts Center (CPAC)\, 701 Carmalita St.\, Punta Gorda. The Miami Jazz Consort was formed in 2016 by Miami-based saxophonist Peter Brewer. The inspiration for the group was to provide a vehicle to showcase the myriad jazz musicians that live and work together in the Miami area\, offering an additional creative outlet for them. Peter Brewer will be joined by Dante Luciani on trombone\, Chuck Bergeron on bass\, Tom Lippincott on guitar\, and Lucas Apostoleris on drums. The concert is free to Charlotte County Jazz Society members. For nonmembers\, tickets will be sold at the door for $25 per person\, cash or personal check. Students are free. Doors open at 6:30. The concert starts at 7:00.
